Welcome to Interleave! These Terms of Use govern your use of our relationship companion app and services. By using Interleave, you agree to these terms.

We've organized these terms into clear sections with summaries to help you understand your rights and responsibilities. The summaries are provided for convenience, please read each section in full.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Interleave, you agree to these Terms.

  • By creating an Interleave account or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines.
  • If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.
  • We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email.
  • Your continued use of our services after such notification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18+ to use Interleave. One person, one account.

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to use Interleave.
  • You may only maintain one Interleave account at any given time.
  • You must not be prohibited by law from using our services or have been previously banned from Interleave.
  • You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract with us.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for your account and must provide accurate information.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate.
  • Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Never share your account credentials with anyone else.

4. Description of Services

Interleave helps you and your partner build stronger relationships.

  • Track relationship moments and events with your partner.
  • Record check-ins and relationship health scores.
  • Engage in guided rituals and connection activities.
  • Monitor mood patterns over time.
  • Connect with a partner through secure pairing.
  • Receive AI-powered relationship insights and recommendations.
  • Access the Weave matchmaking platform for deep compatibility matching.

5. Content

You own your content, but grant us a license to use it to provide our services.

  • You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or share through Interleave ('Your Content').
  • By uploading Your Content, you grant Interleave a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services.
  • This license ends when you delete Your Content or close your account.
  • When you link accounts with a partner, respect their privacy and sharing preferences.
  • Do not share partner content with third parties without their consent.
  • Interleave and its licensors own all content provided through our services ('Our Content').

6. AI-Powered Features

Our AI helps you, but it's not a substitute for professional advice.

  • AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional relationship counseling, therapy, or medical advice.
  • AI responses may not always be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your specific situation.
  • You should not rely solely on AI recommendations for important relationship decisions.
  • We are not responsible for any actions you take based on AI suggestions.

7. Prohibited Conduct

Be respectful and don't misuse our platform.

  • Do not use Interleave for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Do not harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users, including your linked partner.
  • Do not upload illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or obscene content.
  • Do not impersonate any person or entity.
  • Do not upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
  • Do not use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers.
  • Do not use Interleave to monitor, stalk, or surveil your partner without their knowledge and consent.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features require a paid subscription. You can cancel anytime.

  • Interleave offers both free and premium subscription tiers with additional features.
  • When you purchase a subscription, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fee and applicable taxes.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by law.

9. Safety and Partner Linking

Partner linking requires mutual consent. Report any abuse or misuse.

  • Partner linking only occurs with mutual, verified consent from both parties.
  • You have full control over what information you share with your partner.
  • You can unlink from a partner at any time, for any reason.
  • Your individual account and data are preserved if a relationship ends.
  • Report any abuse, harassment, or misuse immediately through our in-app reporting features.

10. Disclaimers & Liability

Our services are provided 'as is' with limited liability.

  • Interleave provides services on an 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' basis without warranties of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure services.
  • We do not guarantee any specific outcomes, including relationship success.
  • Our total liability is limited to the greater of $100 USD or amounts paid in the preceding 12 months.
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

11. Dispute Resolution

Let's try to resolve disputes informally first.

  • Before initiating formal legal action, contact us to attempt informal resolution.
  • If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration (where permitted by law).
  • You and Interleave waive the right to jury trials and class action lawsuits.
  • For users in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, arbitration provisions do not apply, you may bring claims before competent courts in your country of residence.

12. Termination & General Provisions

Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time through app settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for Terms violations.
  • Upon termination, your license to use our services is revoked.

General

  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Interleave.
  • If any provision is unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in effect.
  • You may not assign your rights without our written consent.
